Depending on the day, Jeremy will tell any number of stories about how he and Jaclyn met. Whether you heard it was on Tinder (not true at all), in a bar fight (partially true), or through mutual friends (entirely true), one thing is for certain…one of them knew it was love at first sight.
Jeremy wooed Jaclyn that summer with bluegrass festivals, Pittsburgh Pirate games and dinners. Fall arrived along with playoff hockey and as New Year’s approached, they planned a trip to Denver.
In Denver Colorado, after an appropriate amount of champagne, Jaclyn finally revealed her true feelings for Jeremy and said, “You are my person.” That’s all it took. Jeremy knew that Jaclyn and he were it and that their story was just beginning.
After a few more years in Pittsburgh, Jaclyn, Jeremy, and their dog Dakota packed up the car and moved to San Diego, California where Jeremy proposed on Christmas Eve of 2020 while cooking dinner. True to her heritage, Jaclyn’s initial response was, “Don’t burn the fish!” After ensuring that dinner was safe she said, “Yes,” starting the three year search for their dream wedding location: Convento Val’Pereiras.
